The good news is that a permanent Ecotourism Information Resource Centre opened this spring as part of a new 2-year initiative supporting community-based ecotourism. It will be the first facility of its kind in Kazakhstan.

Located in downtown Almaty (71 Zheltoksan St – corner with Gogol), it is conveniently close to hotels, the central shops, and Almaty II railway station. This centre will be able to offer a wider range of information and a wider choice of places to visit.
